In the scalding heat of summer when every one is doing just about everything they can think of to soak up some dregs of coolness; what’s not to love about a fresh, cold and delicious bowl of fruit and yoghurt.

Growing up, yoghurt was a dull accompaniment to most meals, neither loved nor hated … just there. But as an adult, not only do I appreciate it for its pro biotic qualities, but I have also learnt how to make it scrumptious. Here is one of the many ways you can too. This bowl is packed with nutrients, antioxidants and high in protein. It’s the ideal start to day or even a light lunch or evening snack.  And the best part of this is, its extremely easy to put together and doesn’t take a lot of time.

To begin with, use chilled Greek Yogurt, I have use plain Epigama here, as it is the best Greek yogurt available here, its thick luscious and creamy and high on protein.  Beat it and pour in the bowl.

Top with Raspberries, Goji Berries , Pomegranates. For the crunch you can use any granola you like , whatever is lying around the kitchen . I have used granola chunks in this bowl. And that’s how easy it is. Decorate and dig in.

This recipe can go such a long way. I make it for desert when I don’t want to cheat mid week with ice cream or something terribly naughty. I make it for my husband sometimes during breakfast when he needs a pick me up which mere kisses cannot accomplish! My little nephew Baby M loves it as a post school snack when he pops over to hang out with his favorite aunt.

It is such a gorgeous little dish ; full of love and good healthy ingredients for anyone to enjoy…. Except MI because she has a strange phobia against yoghurt, which we wont get into here.


INGREDIENTS


Serves 4

200 gms Epigama Plain Greek Yogurt
8 Raspberries
A handful of Pomegranate seeds
A handful of Dried Goji Berries
Granola of choice
Edible flowers to make your bowl pretty


METHOD


Take some chilled Greek Yogurt,  Beat it and pour in the bowl.

Top with Raspberries, Goji Berries , Pomegranates.
For the crunch you can use any granola you like, whatever is lying around the kitchen.

I have used granola chunks in this bowl. And that’s how easy it is. Decorate and dig in.
