The Floral Art of Being A Bride

Match made in décor heaven

Bride    December 16th 2018

When I decided to draw up a plan for my wedding, it had to be the mehendi and the sangeet that she was most excited for. One big reason for this was that I just adore with cozy, intimate get together and I love Bollywood. I was sure that I wanted at least one function to be at home on my terrace with my nearest and dearest and we agreed that it would be the mehendi.

Choosing an outfit seems like a cake walk compared to creating the perfect décor theme for your dream wedding. The challenge was to create a vibrant setting without crowding it or going too OTT- it was all about balance and attention to detail.

We went through a series of decor dilemmas—from thinking of pretty pink flamingoes to going absolutely traditional. But finally, Floral Art found a middle ground for us and nailed the final brief I gave them. They were such a dream to work with and truly understood my vision.

It felt like we were a match made in decor heaven! I was so relieved to see how they transformed my space so magically; the terrace was under a canopy of marigolds suspended with the help of transparent threads like a sky smattered with flowers. Bursts of yellow and orange erupted strategically to create a mesmerizing effect.

While the mehendi was all about a splash of fresh colours and a vibrant feel, they turned my sangeet into a sumptuous , royal affair. The flower of the hour was the red rose and they had used it so tastefully. There were beautiful arches lined with roses and splashes of crimson hung all across the space. And don’t even get me started on how amazing it all smelled.

It created the most glorious backdrop for some of my most memorable moments.
