Even the most beautiful scenery in the world runs the risk of being reduced to a mere screen saver. Taking a little philosophical diversion; if you can’t see it in reality does it even exist?
Our goal is to try to see and experience every naturally beautiful corner of our blessed earth before the unconscious human race ravages it down to ash.
This very goal is what led us to the ethereal Aix En Provence in France, which just so happens to be the home of one of our favorite skincare brands L’Occitane.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand, we are about to give you the 411 because this one is super special. It all began in the markets of Provence. with nothing but an alembic, a small truck and a solid knowledge of plants. A 23-year-old named Olivier Baussan began distilling rosemary essential oil to sell locally. He expanded his production from oils to soaps to creams, taking inspiration from the land he grew up on to bring natural beauty to homes across the world. Now the brand is a world leader for creating all-natural beauty products using mostly what grows locally and combining them to create miraculous products like their Divine Oil and Reine Blanche Serum.

Provence is their inspiration with its breathtaking landscapes and untouched natural resources. Through various local initiatives, L’Occitane supports and highlights the men and women who breathe life into this region with the desire to preserve and pass on the skills and expertise of natural production. Thus ensuring that only the finest quality ingredients make their way to our homes. Thus the brand has strong roots in sustainable and earth-friendly initiatives.
Now let’s talk about some of our favorite products starting with the miraculous Patented Divine Youth Oil which not only fights visible signs of ageing but also makes skin look as if plumped from within. Your skin feels transformed thanks to the power of the Immortelle essential oil extracted from the Immortelle Flower ( also known as the everlasting flower because, with time, it brightens rather than fades) which are indigenous to the sun-soaked lands of Corsica.

Next is the Reine Blanche serum whose core ingredient is extracted from the Reine des Près flower known for its amazing brightening properties. This serum is famed for giving one’s skin a translucent luminous quality because it gets absorbed by the skin instantly thus revealing its natural translucency.
The Almond Shower Oil is another one near and dear to our hearts because of how lush and moisturizing it is. The oil instantly transforms into a soft foam when it comes in contact with water, enveloping you in the mouthwatering scent of almonds.

A few other noteworthy products we have tried are the Terre De Lumiere Fragrance which smells like sunrise and blossoms and the Shea Hand cream which FYI is sold every three seconds around the world.
Our love for this brilliant brand was only enriched with our visit to their headquarters and factories. If you do even make it to Provence we highly recommend you pay this place a visit and stock up on their gorgeous products.
